The HMI? 2009 research program and sponsors will host a one-day conference on November 3rd
on the topic of Information Growth: Is It What You Think It Is? The Summit will present the
HMI? 2009 program reports on household and enterprise information, and discuss the insights
gained from these reports on information growth - how much, what has it been in the past, what

The morning session will be devoted to Household Information while the afternoon will be devoted to Enterprise Information.
The day will consist of:

The How Much Information? (HMI?) research program is a multi-discipline, multi-university project, formed to investigate the nature of data and information generated and used by individuals and enterprises.
The Principal Investigator is Prof. Roger Bohn and the Research Director is Dr. James Short, at the Global Information Industry Center (GIIC) within the graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS) at UC San Diego.
